SACAJAWEA SITE STAFF BIOGRAPHIES
Tanya Larkin, Childcare Director, tlarkin@positiveplace.org

Tanya Larkin graduated from Central Washington University in June 2004 with a BA in Elementary Education and a Minor in Family Consumer Sciences.  Tanya was first hired as a program supervisor with Rainier Vista Boys and Girls Club in September 2004.  In June 2005, she joined Wallingford Boys and Girls Club as the Sacajawea Childcare Director.  Tanya is currently the Senior Childcare Director and oversees two WBGC sites - Sacajawea Boys and Girls Club and View Ridge Boys and Girls Club.  In 2006, Tanya was named Boys & Girls Club's of King County's Childcare Professional of the Year. Tanya recently guided the Sacajawea Club's NAA accreditation, which is the highest national accreditation a school-age site can receive.  Sacajawea is currently the only Boys & Girls Club childcare in King County to have this accreditation.  Tanya also assisted with the restructuring of our View Ridge Club.  Tanya has most importantly created a positive, warm, and welcoming environment for children to come to before and after school.

   
Julia Troutt, Assistant Childcare Coordinator, jtroutt@positiveplace.org

 

Julia Troutt is 23-years-old and has been working at Sacajawea Boys & Girls Club for two-and-a-half years. She was promoted to the position of Assistant Childcare Coordinator in September 2009.  As a staff member at SAC, she has specialized in working with the kindergarteners and first graders, and has experience working in both the AM and PM programs.  She also loves being here for our great summer camp program.  Julia is a recent University of Washington graduate with BAs in International Studies and Comparative History of Ideas.  In her free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, and the color orange.
