Halloween Hoopla 2006 is a Major Success

The Club's annual Halloween Hoopla attracted a great crowd again this year.  On October 27th, more than 350 people crowded into the Club's gym to participate in fun carnival games, tour Frankenstein's Lab, and win fantastic sweets in the cake walk.  There were even a few who dared to go into the haunted house, where Johnny came back to take his revenge on some killer clowns.

Everyone's favorite main club volunteer, Lukas, got a true taste of whipped cream sitting in the Cream the Counselor Booth.  Club counselor Jen also took her turn in the chair and got creamed several times.  But they were great sports!

A highlight of the event as always was the haunted house, which drew large crowds each night, and which continues to be a hit each year.  Frankenstein's lab was a little less scary, and perfect for younger Hoopla-goers, allowing them the opportunity to touch some ooey-gooey eyeballs and get a tour of the lab from the mad scientist himself.

The Club wants to extend a huge thank-you to all the wonderful volunteers and sponsors that made the night so great.  We couldn't have done it without all the great people that donate food and materials, staff our booths, and make baked goods for the cakewalk.

And next year will be even better - we'll have the Hoopla in our newly renovated building on 45th Street!
